Pallavi Tummeti is a GIS Administrator and Developer (Research Specialist I) in the Department of Oceanography at Texas A&M University (TAMU), working with the GCOOS Data Management and Cyberinfrastructure Team and supporting the CETACEAN Project. Her primary responsibilities include contributing to the development of the CETACEAN Data Portal and performing GIS-based spatial analysis to support research on marine mammals and their environmental stressors in the Gulf of Mexico.
Pallavi holds a Master’s degree in Information Systems from Saint Louis University, and a Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from India. Her educational background and professional interests bridge geospatial technologies, environmental data, and system development. As part of her role, she collaborates closely with both the CETACEAN and GCOOS data teams to manage, analyze, and visualize data for conservation and restoration initiatives.
