About this product: Citizen Science

- Volunteers and students are gathering valuable water quality data all the time. The Citizen Science product collects this data and makes it available to resource managers and other users. The data collected is accurate and supervised by GCOOS partnering organizations and is valuable because it expands the spatial, temporal and frequency coverage of coastal monitoring data in the Gulf of Mexico while also teaching and empowering citizens to become active stewards for the Gulf of Mexico.
Who is this product for?
This product is used by teachers, students and residents interested in learning about water quality in the Gulf and also used by researchers and resource managers as a baseline data source.

- Available data includes water quality, species diversity, weather and trash/debris.
